East Coast Day 1 - Pahang Art Museum, Sultan Ahmad I Mosque, Teluk Cempedak Beach

I went to East Coast during May 2019.
This is my first time visiting Terengganu and Kelantan.
My mum came along and this is also her first time going to those two states!

We departed from Selangor early in the morning and briefly stopped by Termeloh R&R for bio break.
It was during Puasa period so there really isn't much crowd.
Even the shopkeeper was sleeping.

Also found this cute little pal here. He seems like enjoying his time there and stared at me when I took photo. Sorry for interrupt!

Our first stop upon reaching Kuantan is of course, FOOD.
We went to La Gourmet Noodle House for some Chinese style noodles.
Food is fine. Price is a little above average tho.

Our Next stop is Pahang Art Museum.

This is the entrance.

Some exhibition about Mak Yong. Mak Yong is an important heritage in East Coast.

Some batik motifed chops.

Old earthenware stored in traditional cupboard.

Some interesting paintings.

Guess what is this?

It's actually a tool to process santan.

Side door leading to a field with some artworks.

After visiting the museum, it's already Asr and we heard loud praying sound coming from mosque nearby.
We decided to take a peek at the mosque. The Sultan Ahmad I Mosque is in white and blue theme. It looks quite nice under blue sky.

A visit to Kuantan is incomplete without visiting Teluk Cempedak Beach. We then drove to the beach hoping to catch the cooling breeze. There are not much crowd since it's puasa period.

Foreigner enjoying sunbath.

I don't know what fruit is this.

There are many monkeys there, so keep close watch at your belongings. We witnessed a monkey snatched ice-cream from a girl.

At night we went walking around Padang MPK.
We found that the earlier settlement in Kuantan is at Jalan Besar, just beside the Sungai Kuantan.
The main street is however somewhat defunct. Little shops were still operating after sunset.
We however had our dinner near 上海灘小炒 at Jalan Besar. The food is fine and the price is incredibly affordable.
